Unexpected volumes of invalid traffic impacted a subset of the titles using PlayFab.

Resolved

We identified anomalous traffic patterns exceeding operational limits and have mitigated the impact of this invalid traffic on PlayFab. A small number of PlayFab titles were impacted (about 4% of titles by traffic volume). We will be analyzing this attack to identify improvements to reduce the impact of future incidents.

The incident began at 7:30 PST (15:30 UTC) with a duration of about two hours. During that time the customers that were impacted experienced an increase rate of 5XX and increased latency across all APIs.
